Cortec® Becomes Five-Time Winner of Minnesota Governor’s Workplace Safety Award!

Cortec® Corporation will be recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health during the 2024 Minnesota Safety and Health Conference on April 30th and May 1st. Cortec® Corporation is one of 244 employers to be honored through the awards program, coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council.

Upon being notified of the award, Jill Carlson, Sr. HR Generalist/Safety & Facilities Specialist, commented, “We are always looking for ways to improve safety and to make sure our employees go home safely to their families. Because we have a great group of employees doing their part, we were able to win another safety award.”
The Minnesota Safety Council, founded in 1928, is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Minnesota by preventing unintentional injuries on the road, at work, at home, and in the community.
Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards program has honored Minnesota employers with exceptional safety performance. Applicants are judged on several years of injury data as it compares with their industry’s national and state statistics, and on their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program. Winners are recognized at five levels from Bronze to Diamond.
Cortec® Corporation received a Silver Achievement Award, in recognition of their excellence in occupational injury prevention throughout 2023, meaning they achieved an incidence rate better than the 50th percentile of both the state and national average.
This is the fifth time Cortec® has won the Governor’s Workplace Safety Award since 2018, and the company, a manufacturer of corrosion inhibitors, is determined to extend this important track record of worker safety for years to come!
